Marjorie C.Y. Au, Esq.

was an associate and a partner at the law firm of Ashford & Wriston from 1986 to 2003, practicing primarily in the areas of real estate law and laws pertaining to financial institutions.  She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and admitted to the Hawaii Bar in 1984.  She began practicing law with the firm that is presently known as Carlsmith Ball.  She received a B.A. from Stanford University in 1975 and a juris doctorate degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law, University of Hawaii in 1984, where she served on the University of Hawaii Law Review (Staff member, 1982-1983, Associate Editor-in-Chief, 1983-1984).  She is a co-author of the Hawaii Conveyance Manual 4th Edition.  She presently serves on the boards of Planned Parenthood of Hawaii and the National Alliance on Mental Illness Hawaii.  She is the chairperson of the Grant Development Committee and volunteers as a counter for the Audobon Society and NOAA, and works backstage for the Hawaii Opera Theatre.
